Teachers’ Day celebrations at Birla Carbon Patalganga
Under the CSR education support initiative, Birla Carbon Patalganga (BCP) celebrated Teacher’s Day in September 2023 with the government schoolteachers located in the areas close to the plant. Around 120 teachers from Chowk, Sarang, Mazgaon, Wavarle, and Mohapada, participated in the celebrations. The chief guest of the program was Mrs. Anjali Raghuvanshi and a special guest, Dr. Madhuri Mankar from the MGM Hospital, Navi Mumbai.
The program began with an address by Ravindra where he shared his thoughts on the Aditya Birla Group Purpose video and the Teacher’s Day initiative. He also focused on various CSR initiatives being implemented at the unit. Mrs. Raghuvanshi motivated the teachers by highlighting the noble work they do day-in-and-day-out toward creating a bright future for the students who live in such remote and tribal areas.
Dr. Mankar focused on the health of the students and urged all the teachers to undertake small initiatives at their schools to inculcate the habit of good hygiene. The teachers, during their feedback, appreciated the CSR initiatives of Birla Carbon under education support – Speaking Walls (a school curriculum of painting on walls) that has proven to be a very effective learning tool for primary school students. They also appreciated the support in the form of school uniforms and stationery items for the students, the merit scholarship award, and the various health camps being organized.
