Birla Carbon Thailand donates 10 computers to seven schools in Thailand
Following the CSR vision of Aditya Birla Group; “To actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate”, Birla Carbon Thailand (BCT), donated 10 computer sets to the students of total seven schools from nearby communities on January 3, 2019. There were 35 students from different grades and 10 teachers.
The welcome note was given by Mr Sanjeev Sood, Regional President, Birla Carbon, Far East and South East Asia and Country Head, Group Affairs, Thailand. He formally welcomed the teachers and all the students who graced the occasion with their presence.
In his welcome speech, Mr Sood emphasized on the importance of computers in this modern age and communicated that computer education plays an important role in any student’s career development and prepares them well for the technology savvy world. The welcome speech was followed by formal introduction between senior management team of BCT and the school teachers.
The high point of the event was the innocent, adorable faces of small children filled with enthusiasm and curiosity. The whole atmosphere was very engaging and delightful and even the management team of BCT could not help but savor the moment and enjoyed the charming presence of children. It was fun to see very small children some giggling, some yawning, some clapping and some still trying to understand what was happening around. However, the senior students were quiet and were sincerely following the discipline. Additionally, it was also an unplanned student teacher reunion as some of the employees of BCT have passed out from the same schools.
The event concluded with taking pictures and formal note of gratitude and appreciation from the school teachers.
