EcoVadis recognizes Birla Carbon with another Gold rating for ‘Advanced’ Sustainable practice

Places Birla Carbon in Top 1% of 30,000 companies assessed

In its annual assessment, EcoVadis has once again awarded Birla Carbon with a Gold level recognition confirming the Company as an ‘Advanced’ practitioner of Sustainability. The score achieved by Birla Carbon places it in the Top 1% of all companies assessed (over 30,000) in all categories.

In the category of ‘Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products’, Birla Carbon was recognized in the top 1% for its Labor Practices and Fair Business Practices and top 2% in the same category for its Environmental initiatives.

EcoVadis based its findings on the Birla Carbon’s fifth sustainability report titled ‘Our Progress on the Path to Sustainable Business’. The report focusses on Birla Carbon’s Sustainable Operational Excellence (SOE) strategy.
