Birla Carbon Egypt signs a Protocol of Cooperation with Alexandria University
Held on May 4, 2019, Birla Carbon Egypt (BCE) signed a protocol of cooperation with Alexandria University, at Alexandria in order to achieve mutual cooperation and integration between the industry and the university, for the end benefit of the society. The aim of the protocol is to provide training opportunities for university students in the company; provide them with theoretical and practical experiences; and promote cooperation with the university to support the scientific research that serves the industry. While the university will contribute towards studying larger industrial issues with an attempt to find suitable solutions.
This protocol was signed with 16 of the largest industrial companies in Alexandria in a grand celebration at the university administration building.
Another highlight of this celebration was that BCE was selected among six companies for the membership of the Higher Council that organizes and represents the cooperation between the university and the industrial sector in Alexandria and is headed by the governor of Alexandria and the president of the University. The selection is symbolic of the respect that BCE maintains with the university and the area of Alexandria for major improvements in the field of CSR and other environment projects.
This is the second time that BCE has signed a protocol of cooperation with Egyptian universities. A similar protocol was signed with Pharos University in February 2019.
