As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Birla Carbon Germany sponsored a table tennis team. In October 2022, Cedric Lindner, Finance, Hannover office, Birla Carbon, volunteered to train the team in his spare time. (present in the center of the photograph here). The kids were divided into four teams for full and better participation from the club.

The club is called – TSC Friesen Hänigsen – and it co-operates with local schools, offering free training to make table tennis more popular and to find more club members. Click here to read the article (in German) where the club thanks Birla Carbon for its support.

In another table tennis sponsorship, Christian Merkel, Marketing Manager Birla Carbon, EMEA, volunteered as a trainer for this team (left of the photo). This team goes by the name – TVE Sehnde – and Birla Carbon also sponsored a Bluetooth box.
