On March 15, 2022, Birla Carbon Italy collected certain items from its employees for donating to the hospitals in Ukraine. Engulfed in war, many lives have been lost, and many more have been severely affected due to the ongoing tensions in the country. The hospitals in Ukraine are in need of medical devices to cater to those in need of medical attention.

Annalisa Malcangi, HR Manager, Birla Carbon Italy, reached out to a group of volunteers from a parish in the Novara city center and organized the collection of bandages, patches, cotton, and disposable gloves. These items were delivered on March 15, 2022, to the hospitals in Ukraine. Speaking about this humanitarian initiative, Annalisa said, “The entire world is witness to the current situation in Ukraine. With this donation, we have our little contribution in saving the lives of those people who have been affected. We hope to continue contributing via such donations to those in need and live our purpose to share the strength.”
