During the third week of February 2022, Birla Carbon Italy participated by donating items to those children who were getting vaccinated in the local communities and villages close to the plant in Trecate, Italy. In this endeavor, Birla Carbon Italy donated 150 USB pen drives with the Birla Carbon logos on them, 130 multi-colored pens (in blue and red shades), and a few rubber bracelets to these kids.

The aim was to provide comfort to the children while the vaccines were being administered to them. Speaking about this initiative, Giuseppe Zanotti Fragonara, General Manager, Birla Carbon Italy, said, “Giving back to the communities in which we operate is our way of living our purpose to share the strength. We are delighted to have put a smile on the faces of the children who are getting vaccinated, and I would like to thank our entire team at BCI for taking up this opportunity to bring a smile to children’s faces.” Novara’s sanitary district department requested the companies in the area to help make the vaccination drives a success by supplying gadgets and toys as giveaways to the young children.
