Mega medical camp treats 321 villagers
World Malaria Day was observed on April 25, 2019, and on this occasion, a special mega medical, health and hygiene awareness camp was organized at Birla Carbon Renukoot’s primary school in Murdhwa, where 321 people from the nearby villages were treated and given medical assistance. At the camp, health lectures were given by government doctors on malaria and adequate treatment was provided by Birla Carbon India Pvt. Ltd.
The district malaria officer, addressed villagers during the camp mentioning how cleanliness is a foundation for a healthy life, while elaborating the necessary precautions needed to avoid the breeding of mosquitoes. He also elaborated on the system of diagnosis and treatment of malaria in all government hospitals.
The national vector-borne disease control program; the national child health program; tuberculosis and eye health medical mobile unit teams examined a total of 321 patients including 18 children.
