Held on November 14 and 15, 2018, Birla Carbon’s Senior Management Team meeting was for the first time held at the Trecate plant in Italy.

As a part of the two-day program, all the SMT members took a plant tour at Trecate post which the local team got the opportunity to showcase the main projects and achievements to them.

As part of the SMT meeting program, this time, the leaders paid a visit to the Rodari local school, where Birla Carbon Italy has recently sponsored a project to build an open-air theatre for the school and the town of Trecate. This visit to the school was made on the specific request by the SMT during which they met the children who painted the school walls and also gave a brief presentation to the SMT on the progress and achievements of the Rodari School.

A key highlight of this visit was the SMT being shown the interactive board that was donated through the project ‘From (Carbon) black to light,’ which has been installed within the school premises.
